Zachry Engineering Corporation (ZEC), a multi-discipline engineering and design firm, offers a broad range of technical services, including engineering, design, procurement, construction management, start-up, and commissioning and project development services primarily to the electric power industry. ZEC also has significant design and project experience in the renewable fuels, transportation, industrial process facilities, and the food and beverage industry.  We are currently seeking a Sr.  Instrumentation and Controls Design Engineer for the Amarillo office who will be involved in engineering and design tasks on assigned projects.  Requirements:·         B.S. Degree in an engineering discipline such as electrical, mechanical, chemical, or process/controls.·         Ten (10) years related experience ·         Licensed P.E. by exam.Responsibilities:Applies sound and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields. Makes decisions independently on engineering problems and methods.  Is assigned specific projects to complete, working as a fully competent engineer in all conventional aspects of the assignment. Independently performs the assignment with instructions as to the general results expected. May supervise, coordinate, and review work of a small staff of engineers of technicians on assigned work. As a Licensed Professional Engineer, seals and signs all documentation produced by own work. May also seal and sign work done by engineers under direct supervision. Performs studies, preparation of specifications, evaluation of proposals, and development of estimates.  Direct drafting personnel in the proper execution of drawings for architectural systems to which assigned. Examines drawings for completeness, detail, and accuracy as peer reviewer. Checks manufactures’ prints and coordinates between these and Zachry Engineering drawings. Serves as a representative of Zachry Engineering Corporation when responsible for check-out, start-up, and tests of new or retrofitted control systems and provide for supervision of certain field engineering staff.
