  We currently have an open opportunity for an Operating Cost Controller/Manager- North America, to be based at our corporate office in Cranberry Twp., PA.  The primary responsibilities of the position include the following: -Head a team of six professionals supporting each region within North America.

 -Support the VP Finance-Americas, and the VP Operations-North America.

 -In conjunction with other managers and departments, responsible for short term financial planning and annual operating budget for each region.

 -Analyze and cost manufacturing work orders following companys costing system.

 -Combine, prepare and review monthly cost of sales figures by analyzing material, labor, and research and development expenses.

 -Assist in the preparation of monthly journal entries.

 -Analyze variances from cost estimates.

Prepare reports for accounting manager and recommend changes in estimating process as indicated.

 -Evaluate manual and automated financial accounting work processes, systems, and procedures for efficiency of workflow and conformance to principles of government accounting.

 -Examine site activities for compliance with plan, Company policies, and US GAAP.

 -Coordinate the design, modification, and implementation of process improvements and design alternatives.

 -Inspect accounting systems to determine their efficiency and protective value.

 -Ensure proper asset valuation by conducting inventories and assuring proper controls.

 -Review records pertaining to staff and material assets, such as equipment and buildings, to determine degree to which they are utilized.

 -Analyze data obtained for evidence of deficiencies in controls, duplication of effort, fraud, or lack of compliance with laws, government regulations, and management policies or procedures.

 -Conduct special studies for management such as those required to discover mechanics of detected fraud and to develop controls for fraud prevention.

Basic Qualifications include: -Bachelors degree in business administration, accounting, or finance from a four year college or university.

 -Minimum of five years progressive experience directly related to financial analysis, internal controls, and cost accounting.

 -CPA certification and at least 1 year professional experience as an accountant or auditor.

 -Experience working with international operations.

  Preferred Qualifications include:  -Fluent in Spanish or Portuguese (Spanish strongly preferred).

 -Graduate degree, such as MBA, in business administration or financial management.

 -Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), including internal control systems.

 -Experience with large, multi-national manufacturing or industrial company.

 -Excellent skills in teamwork, planning, and problem solving skills, with ability to understand complex business strategies and operations.

 -Superior written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Excellent presentation skills.

 -Effective project management and leadership capabilities.

 -Hands-on experience with software applications for financial analysis; experience with JDE/Oracle.
