Nolan Financial – A leading national Executive Benefits and Consulting firm located in Chevy Chase, MD is seeking a qualified entry to mid-level individual with immediate availability for the position of Financial Analyst.Key responsibilties include working on executive benefits plans and proposal design, detailed reports, Excel spreadsheets, running and updating financial software programs, production and supplemental administrative tasks as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
Prepare and design financial spreadsheets (input, analysis and creation).
Perform financial projections and other financial analyses.
Design proposals for meetings with clients and prospects.
Request data and organize financial projections.
Maintain and update client files.
Conduct research and prepare reports for Finance Department.
Assist senior finance personnel with projects.
Analyze corporate financial statements including proxy, 10K, and 10Q.
Conduct Internet research and analysis on companies, industries, etc. Run financial projections and software programs.
Requisition software programs and maintain systems.
QUALIFICATIONS and SKILLS In addition to solid organizational skills and a strong attention to detail, the successful candidate for this position must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, with senior executives of Fortune 1000 companies and other professionals.
Candidate must be able to quickly grasp a wide variety of legal, tax, accounting and financial concepts.
He or she should be familiar with financial spreadsheets, apply financial operations and deal with abstract and concrete variables.
Candidate should posses the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
Candidate must be highly proficient with Microsoft Office systems including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Successful candidate must have the ability to handle cyclical work pressures with professional demeanor and be a team player willing to participate and interact with staff of all levels within other departments.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE This position requires an undergraduate degree in finance or business related field.
One to two years of prior financial analysis work experience involving life insurance products, qualified and/or nonqualified retirement plans is highly desirable, although not required.
Advanced studies or additional qualifications/licenses will be a plus.
