Position Summary: Directs educational program that promotes professional excellence for all roles in the organization. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:Contributes to the strategic planning, implementation and evaluation of a comprehensive program of staff development and training initiatives, in coordination with the Education Committee and Senior Management.Develops policies and administrative procedures relating to curriculum, training resources and instruction.Assesses relevant training needs for all employees throughout the organization, in consultation with management staff.Determines the internal and external resources needed to provide the appropriate educational programs.Identifies internal subject matter experts and candidates to serve as instructors.Oversees the Saba Learning Management System and other software related contracts to assure the design, availability of courses and reporting functions meet organizational needs.Designs training curriculum and selects appropriate learning delivery methods.Analyzes, evaluates and reports on the effectiveness of training programs.Assures that Continuing Education Units are credited and reported accurately.Supervises education department staff and coordinates learning resources across a widely dispersed organization to deliver quality and timely programs to a diverse employee and contractor population.Develops education department budget and controls departmental expenditures within approved budget. QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Master’s degree in education or related field.2. Minimum of 8-10 years experience in the education field. Minimum of 5 years management experience.3. Familiar with a variety of adult educational concepts, practices, procedures and corporate education best practices.4. Experience with Saba Learning Management System preferred.5. Experience in the home healthcare industry helpful, but not required.6. Must be capable of managing multiple projects, functions, and activities simultaneously. 7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential; must be experienced and comfortable with interaction at all levels of an organization. 8. Must possess leadership skills, be a self-starter and have the ability to be a change agent for an organization.
